Position Overview

As an FBI Personnel Security Specialist (Senior Level), you will play a critical role in safeguarding national security by conducting and overseeing personnel security investigations, analyzing complex data, and identifying potential security vulnerabilities. This role requires extensive investigative and adjudicative expertise, as well as the ability to provide recommendations and potentially support security program oversight and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee personnel security investigations
  • Apply technical expertise as an investigator and/or adjudicator
  • Analyze complex security information to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations
  • Support high-level personnel security determinations and risk mitigation efforts
  • Assist with oversight and execution of security program functions
  • Potentially manage security programs and personnel as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR fifteen (15) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field
  • Alternative education/experience substitution:
    • Associate's degree with twelve (12) years of experience in federal law enforcement OR seventeen (17) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field (must be approved by the Contracting Officer of the Order)
  • Technical training/certification as an investigator and/or adjudicator is required
  • Prior security management experience preferred
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
