Job Summary

BFW Coupling Services is a global on-site machining company within the SKF Group and we are looking to hire a qualified machinist or on-site machinist with field experience.

Position Details:


  • Permanent full-time position, hourly plus overtime
  • Health Benefits

  • Wages are based on qualifications and experience
  • Union if Canadian Technician.
  • Reporting location and structure dependent on applicant's home location.



Candidates must:


  • Be willing to travel extensively, all work assignments are at customer sites.
  • Adhere to drug and alcohol policy, due to frequent testing at customer requests. Remain cannabis free.
  • Have a clean criminal background history.
  • Have a valid driver's license, with no major violations.
  • Have basic computer knowledge in Word and Excel for completing required reports.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Able to follow directions and work procedures.



Requirements:


  • Perform on-site machining operations including, line boring, sleeve/bolt OD machining (Lathe), stud drilling, honing, spot facing and hydraulic bolt installation and removal.
  • Be familiar with field machining equipment and the limitations of the equipment.
  • Complete required customer documentation, job reports and expense reports related to field projects
  • Work remotely without direct supervision in an efficient and responsible manner
