Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Value Creation

  • Translate business ambition into technical reality.Act as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and data teams, converting vague business problems into actionable technical roadmaps.

  • Challenge the status quo.Ask 'why' before 'when,' ensuring we are building therightsolution, not just building the solutionright.

  • Drive value realization.Ensure that final delivery not only meets technical specs but solves the core business problem and achieves measurable ROI.

  • Facilitate critical decision-making.Lead steering committees and stakeholder reviews, presenting data-backed options to guide leadership toward the best trade-offs between scope, time, and value.

  • Immerse yourself in Data & AI initiatives.Go beyond requirements gathering to truly learn the business, discover pain points, and build high-trust relationships with partners.

Delivery Execution & Orchestration

  • Orchestrate the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.Own the "how" of delivery by adapting agile methodologies to the unique needs of Data and AI workflows (e.g., managing experimentation cycles vs. rigid timelines).

  • Proactively remove impediments.Clear the path for your team by anticipating risks, resolving blockers before they impact the timeline, and shielding the team from external noise.

  • Define and document rigorous scope.Set clear objectives and success criteria with a particular focus on alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Manage resources and assets.Effectively identify and secure the key resources required for successful delivery, navigating obstacles and unforeseen conditions with resilience.

Operational Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a culture of experimentation.Champion rapid iteration and help business partners understand the unique lifecycle of AI/ML products.

  • Drive accountability and transparency.Structure reporting to foster team coordination and provide timely visibility into multiple inflight projects and support operations.

  • Partner with the Delivery Management practice.Collaborate with other DMs to develop, maintain, and operate a consistent project management structure for technology and shared business service projects.

  • Modernize our toolkit.Drive the implementation of modern tools and practices, coordinating efforts across the data, AI, and application teams.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, it is preferred you have Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent related work experience) with 10+ years of overall business experience in the technology or construction industries. Exceptional experiences leading teams or delivering technology projects will also be highly valued.

You will really stand out if you:

  • Bring deep experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Proven ability to manage uncertainty and ambiguity, knowing how to manage expectations when the outcome isn't guaranteed.

  • Are familiar with emerging trends around data and AI and have a proven track record of implementing these types of projects.

  • Can deliver on both short-term (immediate) and long-term (strategic) technology needs.

  • Are a master of change management, problem-solving, and initiative evaluation principles.

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and seek out new opportunities for creativity and innovation.

  • Develop, evaluate, and deliver projects without personal bias, carefully considering many different perspectives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience as a technology lead, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Experience with full-cycle application or software implementation projects.

  • Previous supervisory experience responsible for performance management with a proven track record of successful people management skills.

  • Experience leading the implementation of new technologies preferably within the construction industry.

  • Certification in Business Process Management, Lean Six Sigma or a Project Management methodology desirable.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.

  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors and system integrators.

  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills that will successfully translate to the needs of the team as well as senior management.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Compensation:

The salary range is $115,000 to $150,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position will be eligible for additional compensation that is expected to include an incentive program.
