Overview

GKG is seeking a Indirect Rate Specialist to join our team in support of USAID.

The specialist will provide expert guidance on the procedural, legal, and operational requirements for negotiating and setting provisional and final indirect rates for contractors and grantees, ensuring compliance with USAID and U.S. Government regulations. This is a hybrid, full-time role working closely with Contracting Officers (COs) and Agreement Officers (AOs), legal counsel, technical offices, and partners.

Responsibilities

    Support the review, analysis, and negotiation of provisional and final indirect cost rate proposals, ensuring allowability, allocability, and reasonableness in accordance with federal cost principles.
  • Prepare negotiation objectives and conduct in-depth cost/price analyses, including review of expense pools, allocation bases, and business volume forecasts.
  • Maintain NICRA official files; ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation in agency systems.
  • Coordinate with auditors, legal counsel, and other functional specialists to resolve audit findings and recommendations related to indirect costs.
  • Provide technical guidance to USAID COs and AOs on indirect cost rate application and compliance.
  • Monitor provisional indirect rate performance, perform trend analysis, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Support policy development and interpretation on cost principles, indirect rates, and related areas.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • FAC-C Professional, CFCM, CPA, or CGFM.
  • Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in topics for which they may not have knowledge, e.g. Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations.
