Summary of Position

The People Specialist supports key HR functions including support for talent acquisition, management of temporary labor processes, coordination of interviews, job board postings, talent attraction through social media, and ensuring compliance with HR best practices. The People Specialist additionally supports the corporate office by serving as Receptionist and general Administrative support to Human Resources and Legal.


Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Essential Functions

The HR Specialist serves as Curium's ambassador to visitors, vendors and employees for the headquarters of North America located in Maryland Heights, MO. This role will manage a variety of areas including:



  • Human Resources - Support administrative needs of the HR department. This will include posting position descriptions to job boards and social media, working with LinkedIn to ensure high visibility messaging of critical positions, end to end management of candidate interview scheduling and expense management, organizing and filing documents, preparing expense reports, mailings for benefits, scheduling meetings, tracking invoices and other HR-related items.
  • Receptionist - Greet visitors and employees, notify employees of visitor arrival, answer incoming calls and direct callers appropriately. Maintain appearance of front reception area to provide attractive entrance to customers, employees and other guests.
  • General Office - Support clerical needs for the office including copying, faxing, creating documents, managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, etc.
  • Building - Serve as point of contact for the building owner to handle matters such as concerns, maintenance requests, parking coordination and validation, etc. May handle invoices and other items related to management of the corporate office. Communicate to employees related to building outages, parking restrictions, etc.
  • Legal - Support administrative needs of the legal department, including two attorneys and one paralegal. The Administrative Specialist handles invoice tracking, organizing meetings and travel, and tracking calendars.
  • Special Events and Projects - Support coordination and planning for corporate events. Work in coordination with other Administrative Specialists across planning teams for events.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or four year degree preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in administrative/receptionist support role.
  • Prior experience working with Human Resources and / or in legal setting preferred.
  • Proven track record in corporate office setting working with multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful with ability to use sound judgment and solve problems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of work.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Significant focus and detail-orientation.
  • Proactive approach

  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
