Description

Performs general accounting activities. Assists in the preparation of financial statements. Maintains and assures the accuracy of accounting records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for Amada Capital Corporation
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for Amada America, Inc.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages (parent company reporting) for Amada Capital Corporation
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages (parent company reporting) for Amada America, Inc.
  • Monthly account analysis of general ledger accounts for Amada Capital Corporation
  • Monthly account analysis of various general ledger accounts for Amada America, Inc.
  • Prepares month-end journal entries for Amada Capital Corporation and Amada America, Inc.
  • Maintains and prepares various amortizations, accruals, and recurring entries
  • Maintains and prepares analysis of Investment and Equity Income for parent's subsidiaries
  • Prepares Quarterly and Yearly audit schedules for Amada Capital Corporation and various Amada America, Inc.
  • Will assist in preparing and inputting the annual and semi quarterly business plan to Japan.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Assists in special accounting projects, as needed.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP



  • Division Accounting Manager


SUBORDINATE STAFF



  • None


KNOWLEDGE



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required along with equivalent business experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Great Plains software experience a plus
  • Syteline software experience a plus


SKILLS



  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data
  • analysis).
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and optimize software tools and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Very little travel

  • Ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Ability to accept and follow instructions
