The Role

As the Associate of Supporter Development, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. The Supporter Development team is responsible for engaging and stewarding mass market donors increasing their loyalty and commitment to Save the Children. In this role, you will provide support to our marketing campaigns by primarily managing operations related to direct mail campaigns. You will also support donor journey improvements under the direction of the audience strategy. You will bring project management skills and operational best practice to help deliver donor experiences that build a highly engaged audience of supporters.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Campaign Management (50%)



  • Manage the day-to-day operational execution of fundraising and donor cultivation campaigns within the direct mail program under the direction of the Advisor, Supporter Engagement & Fundraising
  • Coordinate production schedules with printers, creative agencies, data processors and internal stakeholders to execute seamlessly and timely
  • Track creative development and campaign feedback, facilitating the flow between fundraising with external vendors or internal departments such as creative, brand, legal, and IT
  • Coordinate select components of the campaign data process with BTS and data processing vendors, ranging from campaign matrix, appeal set-ups, and donor data requests
  • Ensure that creative and campaigns pieces are accurate and that all brand and child safeguarding guidelines are being followed for successful execution
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to achieve goals and gather stakeholder feedback to improve operational ways of working


Journey Support & Execution (25%)



  • In collaboration with audience strategists and channel managers, build and track integrated project plans for journey enhancements
  • Coordinate meetings on donor journey work, voice of donor feedback, and other topics aligned to executing the donor retention strategy
  • Manage data processes for campaign fulfillment and donation acknowledgements/receipts
  • Maintain an organized system for easy access to all campaign and journey materials such as creative samples, journey maps, vendor agreements, and meeting notes
  • Audit of peer donor communications to help gather insights that inform and enhance the donor experience for our one-time and recurring donors


Financial Management & Campaign Reporting (15%)



  • Code and submit invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep expense tracker up to date and support in comparing budget vs. actual spend
  • Conduct routine campaign results reporting for direct mail campaigns and ad hoc analyses to support campaign optimization


Ad-hoc Projects & Professional Development (10%)



  • Assist team on ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as required
  • Dedicate time to learning best practices and building industry knowledge for professional development and to further contribute to team's success


Required qualifications for the role



  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Independent problem-solver and decision-maker on matters related to functional areas
  • Ability and openness to learn new skills to support team as needed
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English


Preferred qualifications for the role



  • Experience in marketing, communications, or other related field
  • Direct mail experience a plus
  • Experience with Monday.com or other project management tools


Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:



  • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $60,775 - $67,925 base salary


  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $53,975 - $60,325 base salary
  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $49,725 - $55,575 base salary


The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
