Material Handler / Machine Shop

Job opening for a Material Handler in our machine shop. This is a full-time, first-shift position (We close at 4: 30 pm) We offer a 401K and paid health insurance for the employee (not a family plan) and the possibility of overtime.

Experience preferred but we are willing to train the right person.

Physical Requirements: You must be able to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds and over on a regular basis. Be able to operate a forklift.  There will be occasional driving to pick up supplies and parts at stores and vendors. You must be able to follow safe operating and lifting procedures.

Wear safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.

Material Handler Job Duties: Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintain production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished products. Receiving and shipping freight.

Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units as well as helping with shipping and receiving.

You must be at least 18 years old and must be able to pass a drug screen.
