YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Inside Sales Manager opportunity in our Merriam office. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the sales team. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team that develops, sells, and maintains a customer base for all current and future Seaboard Foods Fresh Pork customers in a designated region of the country.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships for your accounts and your team's by identifying potential growth areas for them and providing products, quotes, and plans to grow the business successfully.
  • Stay informed of meat protein markets in the region and communicate this information to Supervisors, Pricing Managers, and other team members to assist with pricing and sales decisions to succeed in developing new business.
  • Monitor and assist with collecting receivables and unauthorized deductions to maintain the balance and attain targeted levels.
  • Prepare weekly reports on the region's sales highlights and key project updates, in concert with the Field Regional Sales Manager.
  • Participate in customer-related activities such as sales calls, food shows, and visits to our facilities as is required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Seaboard Foods Field Sales Regional Manager & broker network in developing common goals and writing/executive strategic account plans to increase new distribution & grow existing business within the region.
  • Manage, direct, and motivate all Inside Sales Representatives by setting and executing common goals for the Region.
  • Manage your team on filling trucks, and minimizing pricing errors, late orders, and add-ons per the company's SOP's. Maintain minimum order requirements.
  • Achieve a Volumetric and Net Marketing Margin Budget for the Region.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven track record with 5+ years' experience in the fresh pork or other proteins sales.
  • Ability to analyze, develop and execute strategies to maximize net marketing margins while developing and expanding new markets resulting in an increased sales volume to meet company objectives.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, assertive and can speak effectively to customers while maintaining high ethics and integrity.


Preferred:



  • Degree in business, Agricultural Science, or Meat Science


  • Analytics Background
  • Bilingual - Spanish
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Tableau



SCHEDULE



  • As needed, based on sales region with customer local time.
