Position Summary

The Dietitian is an exciting opportunity responsible for clinical nutrition. In this role, you will conduct nutrition assessments, identify nutrition problems and coordinate care plans among other care providers while providing excellent nutritional support services.

Responsibilities

  • You will collect and analyze relevant patient information including medical/social history, lab values, anthropometric data, diet history and medications
  • You will estimate patient nutrient needs using evidence-based guidelines
  • You will analyze information to identify nutrition problems and develop appropriate care plans
  • You will respond to all RD referrals/consults within established timeframe
  • Depending on assigned clinic, you will conduct individual consultations, diet instruction on chronic conditions (DM, CHF, obesity) as well as teach group education classes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and maintain a current Registered Dietitian
  • Nutritionist (RDN) registration card
  • May consider a candidate who is RDN-eligible; if considered must obtain CDR within 3 months of employment
  • Must obtain Washington State Certified Dietitian (CD) Card within 90 days of employment (or 90 days from RDN Registration date if RDN-Eligible)
  • Current Washington State Food Handlers Card

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.46 - $50.10 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
