Function: Assume responsibility for driving deposit and fee growth in the commercial treasury management team through coaching, strategic sales direction and business development. This role also provides oversight and input into treasury management product development, risk management, marketing strategies, campaigns, promotions and initiatives to grow treasury management across the bank footprint.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Commercial Treasury Management Officer (TMO) team to achieve team goals.

  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback, training and development opportunities to obtain established performance metrics.

  • Drive disciplined sales execution through consistent pipeline management, call planning and relationship reviews.

  • Conduct joint calls with TMOs and bankers to model top tier consultative selling and relationship management.

  • Partner with marketing and data & analytics teams to target high-potential industries, clients and prospects for deposit and treasury management fee growth.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the TMO team.

  • Participate in seminars with customers, prospects and bank employees on various deposit and treasury management products and concepts.

  • Lead periodic team meetings with team members, reviewing production results, identifying sales & market opportunities and supporting product knowledge.

  • Assist in setting market budgets, incentive programs, team/market goals and the development of market-oriented business plans.

  • Partner with treasury management leadership to define the treasury management product strategy that aligns with S&T's overall growth objectives.

  • Research, recommend and assist with driving new product development with treasury management.

  • Evaluate existing products for performance, profitability and competitive positioning-recommend enhancements or rationalization as needed.

  • Support pricing strategy and lead initiatives to optimize treasury management fees, ensuring market competitiveness and profitability.

  • Gather and analyze client feedback and market intelligence to inform product updates and innovation.

  • Communicate product updates, enhancements and training to internal teams to ensure consistent delivery and understanding.

  • Coordinate deployment of new or enhanced treasury management products, working closely with operations, marketing, compliance and legal.

  • Support regulatory compliance and risk management within treasury management products and services.

  • Participate in community activities and organizations to support networking opportunities and enhance the visibility of S&T Bank in the marketplace.

  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Education:

Requires a four-year degree or equivalent Business, Finance, Accounting preferred. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification required.

Experience:

Requires more than ten years general business experience, five to ten years of specialized experience. The candidate needs to have specialized Treasury Management sales, product and risk management experience. An important aspect to the job will be to partner with treasury management leadership to define the treasury management product strategy that aligns with S&T's overall growth objectives.

Physical Demands:

This work can be performed at multiple locations. Operates a keypad device 40-50% of the day. Operates electronic equipment 0-10%. Traveling 20-30%, overnight stays 10-20%. Primary parts of the body involved include fingers, thumb, hand, wrist(s), elbows, legs/feet, lower torso, and upper torso. Standing 40-50%, sitting 40-50% of the day.
