Job Description




As a Unarmed Security Patrol in Logan, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage incidents. You will document security-related activity, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas as authorized, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access by monitoring gates and/or entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing deliveries and/or service providers to approved locations.
  • Respond to alarms, spills or release notifications, medical calls, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as activity logs, patrol reports, and incident reports, and communicate observed hazards and/or unusual activity through the established chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
