About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2 to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2, you will be aligningproductexiting the fryer on to the cooling conveyor,monitoringthe quality of the product on the Prooferbasketsand exiting the fryer. Fryers are tomaintainthe sanitary conditions of the Proofer andfryerareas to meet safety and General manufacturing Practices (GMP's) standards

  • Shift: 3rd
  • Hours: 10:00PM - 6:30 AM
  • Weekend Availability: Required



Compensation



  • Hourly Rate: $21-$22 per hour



Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)






    • Assure the final forming of the product to specifications.





    • Monitor the units on the Prooferbasketstoensure theyare meetingquality specifications.





    • Alignproducton Prooferbasketsfor efficiency as they travel to the fryer.





    • Coordinates activities in the fryer area.





    • Align units exiting the fryer onto the cooling conveyor for maximum cooling





    • Perform general sanitation cleanup of Proofer workstation and fryer areas.





    • Awareness of Lockout/Tagout procedures and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).





    • Assure that all data entry is entered accurately andona timelymanner.





    • Assure that mechanical line moving parts are functioning as expected. Report any mal-functioning or potential mechanical failures to supervisor.





    • Assure that the Fryer area ismaintainedorganized and safe for working.





    • Assure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are adhered to by employees.





    • Continually communicate withSupervisoron product quality.





    • Record Quality Control checks accurately andtimely.





    • Continually weigh units to ensure product is within weight and dimension specifications.






    • Works tomaintainandimprove onthe quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in theirmanufacture. Responsible forkeeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all timesand reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to aSupervisorimmediately.





    • Through Aspire AOE training understands and uses Centerline and CIL daily management systems





    • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving process





    • Performs area walk daily to detect issues & defects to help reduce andmaintainwaste levels





    • Follows standard work procedures and trains others on current best approach to minimize system variation





    • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing improvement ideas with management and actively engaging in AOE pillar activities.





    • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules outlined in the employee handbook, including:





    • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment in assigned production areas and workstations.





    • Immediately reporting any unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries to a supervisor or lead hand.





    • Using all required personal protective equipment.





    • Adhere to and ensure compliance with food safety practices, including:





    • Maintaining all tools in good repair and reporting any broken, damaged, or missing tools to a supervisor or lead hand (do not discard damaged tools).





    • Following all GMPs, includingmaintainingpersonal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing, and cleaning up spills (ingredients, water, debris, wood, etc.).





    • Report any issues or deviations to supervisors, includingimmediatelyreporting any potential contamination or suspicious activity tolineleadership.





    • Reporting any unusual people or behaviors to a supervisor asa partof food security protocols.





    • Additionaltasks may be assigned as needed.






Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in using computers and navigating operating screens.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet production demands.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards and commitment to safety.
  • Flexible availability to work all assigned shifts.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in English (verbal and written).



Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)



  • Prior experience in a fast-paced production or packing environment.
