Adjunct Faculty

The University of Iowa College of Nursing seeks an adjunct faculty member in theMSN EIP program for didactic teaching of a 12-week course this summer 2026. This position requirespast teaching experience in the areas of pathology, pharmacology, and med-surg. Thiscourse meetsin person on campus and will be co-taught with a full-time faculty member in the MSN EIP program.The adjunct faculty member will teach of the course content and will be mentored by the full-time faculty member.

Appointment for the Summer 2026 term; compensation set at $8,000 for teaching duties.

Qualifications:

• Earned master's degree in nursing required. Doctorate in Nursing preferred.
• Experience with adult learners and 10+ years of academic nursing teaching experience.
• Candidates must have expertise in nursing education and work experience related toadult learners (??)
• Applicant must be a licensed Registered Nurse and eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.

Selected candidate will need to successfully complete a criminal background check and an education verification check. Selected candidate must provide an official transcript of their highest conferred degree prior to appointment.
