Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst develops analyses and engages in the annual operating budget process, assists with month end close, while analyzing significant variances between budget, trends and benchmarks. May include the preparation of journal entries as part of the month-end close process. The Sr. Financial Analyst is capable of supporting revenue cycle, pulling and reporting data including Epic, Strata, EPSI, PowerCosting, PowerBI, Pivot and a variety of other tools. Capable of preparing comprehensive analyses to support decision making. This role ensures complex analytics reporting are accurate and leveraged across the region for decision making purposes.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting


Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development of the regional operating budget.
  • Responsible for identifying, gathering and reporting statistical, financial and labor hour information while analyzing significant variances from budget/benchmarks for distriubtion through meaningful reports
  • Ability to analyze the efficiency of staffing and expense utilization based on volume variances compared to targets, budgets and benchmarks
  • Builds relationships with operational leaders acting as a financial liaison to the region.
  • Leads financial projects in the region while leveraging and analyzing operational data from various sources to improve the performance of the region.
  • Maintains information systems required for productivity, budgeting and reporting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and presentations as need to communicate analytics insights through visualization and presentations.
  • Capable of providing financial assessments and recommendations for operational departments leveraging data reporting tools.
  • Assist with the month-end close process and analytical reporting to identify and explain variances.
  • Builds relationships with operational leaders acting as a financial liaison to the region.
  • Mentors new financial analysts and other organizational stakeholders.
  • Leads projects to achieve regional financial objectives.
  • Ability to maintain monthly financial reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assists with ad hoc analytical projects, proformas, and reporting requests
  • May include accounting functions including contractual allowance reserve calculations, identification of appropriate accruals and broad understanding of income statements and balance sheet accounts.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $33.72per hour - $58per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
