Description and Requirements

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to support Lenovo's global Marketing and Sales organizations. In this role, you will lead the design and development of agentic AI solutions that accelerate Lenovo's digital transformation in the AI era. You will work at the intersection of advanced analytics, enterprise systems, and business strategy to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-impact AI-driven solutions. This position has a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days per week at our Morrisville, NC office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business stakeholders, project managers, IT partners, and digital transformation teams to design and deliver leading-edge AI and analytics solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end AI/ML initiatives, from problem definition and solution design through implementation, deployment, and business value realization.
  • Own and contribute to project management activities, including planning, execution, tracking, and delivery, to ensure projects are completed on time and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Support portfolio and roadmap management by helping define, track, and report progress against Lenovo's digital and AI transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a solution and system architect, designing and implementing highly available, scalable, secure, and legally compliant AI-enabled features within core enterprise IT systems.
  • Hands-on participation in proof-of-concepts (POCs), model and module development, and code reviews to ensure technical quality, performance, and alignment with complex requirements.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and recommend emerging technologies-particularly in advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative/agentic AI-to improve the effectiveness and compliance of Lenovo's global sales and marketing operations.
  • Communicate technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds, including senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing ML/AI solutions in production environments.
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering or managing AI-powered applications or platforms in an enterprise setting.
  • Solid understanding of the full AI/ML lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, deployment, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Strong working knowledge of machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and data analytics, with hands-on development experience preferred.
  • Prior experience building AI/ML solutions for marketing and sales use cases.
  • Experience designing and implementing agentic AI or multi-agent systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project cadence, reporting, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to present and "pitch" AI solutions to audiences at varying levels of technical and leadership seniority.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder-influencing skills in cross-functional, global environments.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus.
