As a Principal, you are a strategic product leader responsible for a major product line, platform capability, or customer lifecycle segment. You drive multi-team initiatives, shape long-term product vision, and represent product at the executive level. You elevate product thinking across the organization and ensure delivery aligns with business impact.

This technical product leadership role will own product strategy and execution for the Integrated Visibility Product (IVP) suite of APIs and webhooks, enabling enterprise customers to integrate critical shipment visibility into their systems at scale.

Essential Functions

  • Define and drive strategy for a product group or portfolio with multiple dependencies

  • Lead strategic planning and prioritization in partnership with senior product, engineering, and commercial leaders

  • Guide the work of multiple product teams, ensuring cohesion, clarity, and accountability

  • Deeply understand customer journeys and market dynamics to inform platform evolution

  • Track and report business outcomes, adoption metrics, and financial performance

  • Coach PMs across teams and help shape the organization's product management discipline

  • Represent your product group in steering committees, exec reviews, and roadmap alignment forums

  • Owning product direction for high-scale visibility APIs and webhooks, including scalability, versioning, and lifecycle management

  • Delivering new shipment visibility and tracking capabilities that expand IVP value across enterprise use cases and verticals

  • Driving improvements to visibility/tracking data quality including freshness, completeness, event consistency

  • Driving roadmap prioritization across platform stability, scaling, operational excellence, and differentiated enterprise/vertical capabilities, including tiered feature access, usage limits, and SLA-based offerings

  • Leading IVP platform reliability strategy including SLAs/SLOs, availability, latency/performance, resiliency, and incident-driven improvements and customer impact reporting

  • Partnering closely with engineering teams on service health, observability, monitoring, incident response learnings

  • Owning documentation, onboarding flows, sandbox environments, integration tooling, and developer enablement assets

  • Engaging directly with enterprise customer technical leaders (CTOs/CIOs/architects/developer teams) to support integration patterns, adoption, and scalable solutions

  • Tracking platform health metrics including usage metering, adoption signals, reliability KPIs, and customer-impact reporting

  • Exploring extensibility patterns to support agentic AI workflows (e.g., MCP or similar protocols) leveraging IVP APIs and event streams

  • Communicating priorities and health status through clear, data-driven narratives to technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Notable product management experience delivering enterprise B2B products and platforms

  • Strong technical fluency with RESTful APIs, webhooks, distributed systems, platform operations, and API lifecycle management

  • Proven experience managing high-volume API products (hundreds of millions to billions of calls/day), optimizing reliability, scalability, and developer experience (DX)

  • Hands-on experience using SQL and advanced analytics to define KPIs, analyze usage patterns, and inform roadmap prioritization

  • Strong partnership mindset across engineering, operations, and dependent product teams

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical complexity into business impact

  • Preferred domain experience in ecommerce, logistics, or supply chain ecosystems

  • Familiarity with emerging AI-agent integration patterns (e.g., MCP or similar protocols) is a plus


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Experience

  • 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate communication, and drive execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation, market research, and business case analysis.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations.

  • Proven ability to lead without authority and influence across senior leadership

Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week
