MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Recruit, hire, train, and continually develop the IDE Sales force with the Company's
corporate goals and objectives in mind.
* Deliver consistent field observation and coaching to enhance required skillsets of team
and compliant, effective utilization of approved sales messaging and resources.
* Implement performance management processes to improve individual and team
attainment of goals.
* Plan and implement product introduction to the assigned market.
Manage the Company's relationships with key eye care providers, corporate accounts,
strategic accounts, consultants and potential customers. Leverage relationships,
networks, and expertise to achieve business objectives.
* Build current and future competitive advantages by understanding & addressing key
customers' needs and by demonstrating a deep understanding of competitors' strategies.
* Help to develop and implement Sales strategy and manage those programs designed to
meet corporate goals and objectives.
* Co-develop both short-term and longer-term plans to anticipate market trends and
stakeholders' needs.
* Assist in the development of advertising literature, and promotional and training material.
* Develop internal relationships and collaboration that successfully drive business
objectives.
* Complete timely and accurate sales forecasting. Drive all aspects of regional financial
and business metrics, including not only revenue but also resource targets.
* Regional budget/expense management to achieve AOP.
* Collaborate with the Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and other
functions to develop product enhancements and improvements by communicating ECP
input in addition to personal input from clinical case observation.
* Manage consultants for key projects.
* Maintain superior knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to medical, technical,
and biomedical developments related to Sight Sciences' products.
* Ensure timely guidance to senior management regarding the strategy and key brands.
* Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures that comply with FDA
Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485, and any other applicable domestic or
international requirements.
* Maintain a professional and credible image with key eye care providers, administrators,
consultants, vendors, and co-workers.
* Actively work to promote Sight Sciences' high-performance culture.
* Carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company in accordance with
Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations governing our
business practices
QUALIFICATIONS
* EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience required
* EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience in the medical device industry.
* At least 2-4 years of leading sales leaders within the medical device industry.
* Previous sales or sales management experience preferred.
* OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
* Demonstrated ability to influence and manage a complex set of internal and external
stakeholders.
* Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
* Capable of attracting and developing world-class commercial talent.
* Strong communication and negotiating skills are required.
Ability to exercise sound decision-making and good judgment consistent with a seniorlevel position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Stamina: Sales representatives may spend long hours on their feet, visiting multiple
healthcare facilities and/or attending trade shows. They should have the stamina to
maintain energy levels throughout the day to handle the physical demands associated
with the job.
* Lifting & Carrying: Medical devices can range in size and weight, and sales
representatives may need to transport and demonstrate these devices. The ability to lift
and carry equipment, sometimes up to 50 pounds or more, may be required.
* Driving: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record will be required since sales
representatives will be required to frequently travel to customer locations. They should be
comfortable driving for extended periods of time and navigating various routes.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
* 30% to 40% overnight travel
