The role of this position is to conduct research on microbial ecology in summer 2026 in the Kennedy. This will primarily include the following activities: laboratory experiments involving decomposition of microbial necromass and microbial field surveys at the Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. The person working in this position will work collaboratively with a team of researchers in the Kennedy lab, including graduate students, and the principal investigator. The person will assist with various data management tasks, including maintenance of a laboratory notebook, digital transcription and archiving of experiment data, and processing in field station samples. Qualifications
This position is best suited for someone with previous research using sterile technique and experience in microbial ecology, as the work relies on some familiarity with various microbial growth assays and measurement techniques. Pay and Benefits
