About the Job

The Video Production Manager plays a central role in shaping the visual identity and digital presence of Golden Eagle Athletics. This position oversees all aspects of live-streaming operations and video content creation to ensure high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent media across all platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a strategic approach to multimedia production, ensuring that every broadcast and video project reflects the professionalism and energy of Golden Eagle Athletics.

Job Responsibilities

Video Production Manager (50%)

  • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for all live-stream operations supporting Golden Eagle athletic broadcasts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, collegiate-level productions.
  • Manage and mentor the Video Production student workforce, including hiring support, onboarding, skills training, scheduling, and ongoing performance development.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT department to maintain all broadcast technology, troubleshoot technical issues, and plan for long-term equipment upgrades. Lead research and purchasing initiatives for new cameras and related equipment to enhance production quality.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Operations and the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications and Marketing to refine broadcast workflows, elevate play-by-play quality control, and implement best practices to maintain professional standards across all streamed events.
  • Develop and maintain production checklists, run-of-show documents, and operational procedures to ensure smooth execution of every broadcast.

Corporate Partnership & Marketing Support (25%)

  • Assist in developing, nurturing, and expanding corporate partnerships that generate revenue through banner placements, scoreboard advertising, and sponsorship opportunities specific to Golden Eagle athletic broadcasts.
  • Contribute to sales strategy by identifying new partnership prospects, preparing promotional materials, and helping communicate value propositions to potential sponsors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Marketing to ensure consistent brand representation across all visual media, broadcasts, and promotional assets.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that elevate brand visibility and reinforce the Golden Eagle identity.

Video Content Production (15%)

  • Serve as the lead creator and project manager for video content across all athletic teams, developing concepts, timelines, and production plans for TikToks, hype videos, highlight packages, practice features, and storytelling pieces.
  • Film, edit, and produce high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar software), demonstrating strong proficiency in video editing techniques, color correction, motion graphics, and audio balancing.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of camera types, stabilizers, lighting gear, audio equipment, and mobile production tools to support both planned shoots and rapid-turnaround content.
  • Partner with coaches, student-athletes, and athletic staff to capture compelling visual content that increases team visibility, enhances recruitment efforts, and supports internal communication needs.
  • Support the creation and distribution of short-form and long-form content across social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X, to maximize engagement and align with athletic department marketing goals.
  • Maintain an organized digital archive of footage, project files, and completed content to ensure efficient workflows and easy asset retrieval for future projects.

Student Worker Supervision (10%)

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and daily oversight for a team of student employees supporting video production, live-stream operations, and content creation across the athletic department.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus at least four years of experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Master's Degree
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $68,000 - $75,000 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
