The primary purpose of this role is to support Sonepar Operating Companies (OpCos) in improving operational productivity and maximizing utilization of the Eclipse ERP system. This position plays a critical role in standardizing processes, enhancing performance metrics, delivering training, and supporting system enhancements across the organization.



Key Accountabilities



Eclipse Performance Metrics & Dashboard Reviews



  • Conduct regular Eclipse Dashboard metric reviews with OpCos to assess performance.
  • Develop recommendations, action plans, and ownership assignments to drive metric improvements.
  • Establish targeted goals and conduct endofyear assessments comparing goals vs. actual results.



Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development & Implementation



  • Create, update, and implement SOPs related to Eclipse across OpCos in the areas of sales, branch operations, nonCDC warehousing, and other functional areas.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop plans to increase efficiency and maximize Eclipse utilization.



Training & User Development



  • Deliver training on all aspects of the Eclipse ERP system, including sales, branch operations, nonCDC warehousing, Solar Eclipse, and SOPs.
  • Conduct training in multiple formats: classroom sessions, small groups, oneonone, and virtual/web-based sessions.
  • Support OpCos in strengthening system proficiency and operational consistency.



System Enhancements & Feature Implementation



  • Develop, test, document, and implement new Eclipse system features and companion product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support system optimization.



Special Projects



  • Support OpCo initiatives by facilitating meetings, developing and maintaining project plans, and providing general project support.
  • Assist in testing software modifications and enhancements.
  • Support system conversions, including training and deployment activities, when onboarding OpCos to Eclipse.



Minimum Work Experience Requirements



  • 5+ years working in the distribution industry; electrical distribution experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Eclipse ERP system.
  • 5+ years developing, documenting, and implementing organizational process improvements.
  • 5+ years leading and coordinating team activities to achieve operational goals.



Minimum Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree (4-year college degree required).



Desired Skills, Competencies & Attributes



  • Strong knowledge of the distribution industry and its functional areas.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Eclipse ERP system.
  • Effective instructor skilled in delivering training across various formats and group sizes (10-20 participants).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels-including OpCo executive leadership.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage work independently.
  • Proven project leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional team efforts.
  • Solid understanding of key operational metrics within a distribution environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately one week per month.
