Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Analog Designers to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Design, model, simulate, and characterize high-speed signal propagation and power delivery networks in AMD products. Use simulations to ensure packaging and PCBs are optimally designed and meet

speed requirements. Develop domain expertise to effectively communicate with the signal and power integrity team. Write custom tools and scripts to integrate point tools into a highly optimized workflow. Review layouts to determine any areas that require additional refinement. Extract models for package, PCB, and Sockets from vendors, collecting standardized models, and running through simulation. Run channel simulations to generate performance numbers; evaluating those numbers against the specified parameters. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Analyze electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

1.CMOS transistor design;

2.CAD tools;

3.Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification;

4.Front-End or Back-End EDA tools;

5.Unix or Linux environments; and

6.Scripting in Python, Perl, TCL, Ruby, or Shell.
