Positioned uniquely between strategic advisory and brokerage functions, this role is part of Aon's well-known construction and infrastructure platform. As a Senior Account Executive, C&I - South Region, you will employ Aon's rich data, analytics, and market connections to develop and execute integrated, multi-line insurance solutions for complex projects. You will lead specialist teams in different regions, influence risk management from project launch through completion, and provide outstanding solutions that surpass standard placements.

This position is hybrid, offering the option to work from our Florida offices in Tampa, Jacksonville, or Miami. We are also open to considering Atlanta, GA applicants.

What the day will look like

As a Senior Account Executive, you will advise clients on effective risk transfer, insurance design, and contract risk oversight to deliver outstanding results. The position also acts as a client representative with contracting and financing partners and leads collaborative brokerage teams across various insurance lines, including Workers' Compensation or equivalent experience, General Liability, Professional Liability, Environmental Liability, and Builders Risk.

Strategic Advisory & Risk Management

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on construction-phase risk transfer, risk financing, and risk control strategies
  • Evaluate project-specific risks and provide assessments of risk allocation, insurability, and market appetite
  • Advise clients on value-for-money risk transfer strategies applying Aon's proprietary data, benchmarking, and analytics
  • Provide guidance to ensure seamless and effective risk transfer among all project collaborators
  • Establish and maintain insurance cost benchmarks to support informed client decision-making

Client Advocacy & Contract Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients in discussions with contractors, lenders, and joint venture partners
  • Provide contract risk advisory services, including insurance and indemnity review and negotiation support
  • Deliver thought leadership and client education sessions, including insights on U.S. versus international construction risk and insurance practices

Insurance Program Development & Brokerage Delivery

  • Lead the design and placement of best-in-class, project-specific insurance programs in collaboration with Aon product and specialty leaders
  • Coordinate brokerage teams across multiple lines of coverage to provide integrated, efficient insurance solutions
  • Prepare and lead insurance market presentations and insurer engagement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal analytics teams and external experts on EML/PML analyses and related risk modeling

Project & Collaborator Management

  • Act as the project manager across Aon's brokerage, advisory, analytics, and global service teams
  • Drive alignment across geographies, fields, and service lines to deliver consistent client outcomes
  • Translate complex insurance structures and coverage concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-insurance collaborators

You'll coordinate specialist teams across geographies, influence risk outcomes from project inception through delivery, and deliver distinctive, impactful solutions that go well beyond traditional placement.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10-15+ years of experience in construction risk advisory, insurance brokerage, or related project risk roles
  • Deep expertise across multiple construction-related insurance lines
  • Experience advising senior client collaborators on complex, large-scale construction and infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, risk allocation, and delivery models
  • An active P&C License is required, or you must be willing to obtain one within 90 days of your hire date.

Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience considered equivalent.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $147,700 to $274,300 annually. The final salary will depend on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, along with internal fairness and comparison with market information. The salary might also be altered depending on the applicant's geographic location.

The salary range shown corresponds to a primary work location of The actual salary may differ for candidates in another geographic area.

This role qualifies for participation in one of Aon's yearly incentive programs to earn an annual discretionary bonus or production incentives alongside the base salary. The bonus or production incentives amount differs and depends on the rules of the relevant incentive program
