*Job Title:* HCC Coder (x3)
*Location:* West Hills, CA (Onsite) *Job Type:* Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire *Pay:* $25/hour *Job Description* As an HCC Coder, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's risk adjustment and revenue integrity efforts through retrospective chart review. This team is currently working through a backlog of ~30,000 encounters, so accuracy and productivity are essential. *Key Responsibilities* * Review 2025 PCP office visit notes * Perform retrospective HCC coding for all documented diagnoses * Close encounters after coding completion * Ensure accurate capture of Medicare Risk Adjustment diagnoses * Work exclusively with PCP office visits *Productivity Expectations* * Minimum: *65 charts/day* * Typical: *75-80 charts/day* *Quality & Auditing* * 100% audit for first two weeks posttraining * Audit percentage decreases with accuracy (70% 50% 30%) * Coders may be audited at ~10% *Systems & Tools* * No billing performed directly in an EMR * May access PCP systems for documentation review * Internal database: *Hiccups* (training provided) * Documentation reviewed via PDF * Coding model: *V28* * Methodology: *Blended approach* *Qualifications* *Required* * Minimum *6 months* of handson HCC coding experience * Fullchart review experience * Medicare Risk Adjustment experience * Active AHIMA or AAPC certification * Strong ICD10 proficiency *Preferred* * Strong Excel skills (daily tracking/reporting) * Experience in highvolume, productionbased environments * Experience submitting daily productivity reports *Training & Onboarding* * Minimum *2 weeks* of training * Coders are not held to full productivity until training is complete * Rampup to *60+ charts/day* posttraining *Employment Details* * *ContracttoHire* * Conversion possible after *4-6 months* * *Target start date:* March 10 (goal is to onboard all three coders together) #westpriority26 *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Canoga Park, CA 91305. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
