*About the Role* We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven *Customer Care Representative* to join our Customer Service team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for internal and external customers, supporting inquiries via phone and email, processing orders, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position plays a key part in contributing to company revenue by meeting productivity and quality goals.
*Full-Time | Onsite | 9:00 AM-5:30 PM* *Key Responsibilities* * Respond to inbound customer calls and emails regarding orders, order status, pricing, and product information. * Monitor department email queues and maintain customer service standards. * Process orders, complaints, and account updates accurately in the ERP system (Oracle). * Identify potential issues early and escalate to leadership when needed. * Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, trade compliance, regulatory affairs, supply chain, and sales. * Create and maintain customer accounts. * Participate in daily KPI meetings and actively support departmental improvement efforts. * Meet key performance standards including monthly goals, phone readiness time, talk time, and service levels. * Troubleshoot product issues via phone and prepare Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs). *Required Skills & Experience* * 1+ year of customer service or technical support experience. * Experience handling irate or escalated customers. * Ability to type 40 WPM (typing assessment may be required). * Experience with CRM and/or ERP systems (Oracle preferred). * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. *Employee Value Proposition (EVP)* * Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement * A collaborative and supportive work environment * A modern, open workspace with standing desks and natural light (facility built in 2019) Plus, Madison is consistently ranked among the *best places to live*, offering the perfect blend of career opportunity and work/life balance. *Work Environment* * Modern facility (built in 2019) with open floor plan and wall of windows * Small, tight-knit team of ~15 Customer Service Representatives * *Professional, clean, and collaborative setting* *Why the Role Is Open* Due to company growth and business needs, Orascoptic is expanding its Customer Care team. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
