*Lead Installation Travel Technician - TEKsystems (100% Travel)* *Preferred Home Base: Nashville, TN (Open to candidates nationwide)*
TEKsystems is actively seeking experienced *Lead Installation Travel Technicians* to support commercial lowvoltage and security installation projects across the country. This role is ideal for a handson leader who can manage small teams, perform highquality installations, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification. *Position Overview* As a Lead Installation Technician, you will oversee *onsite installations* ranging from conduit and cabling to complex security and lowvoltage systems. You will lead a crew of *1-3 technicians*, providing direction, technical support, and quality checks to ensure all work aligns with project standards. This position offers *significant overtime opportunities* and longterm career potential, with the expectation of transitioning to a permanent role after the contract period. *Key Responsibilities* * Lead and supervise daytoday activities for 1-3 technicians on job sites. * Install, terminate, and test: * *Cat6 cabling* * *Security cameras* * *Access control hardware* * *Fire alarm components* * *Structured cabling systems* (Cat6, fiber, coax, etc.) * Build and install cable pathways and infrastructure to code. * Interpret and work from *blueprints, construction drawings, and schematics*. * Mount and install: * Access points * Cameras * Access control panels * Fire alarm devices * Server racks & related equipment * Ensure compliance with *NEC/lowvoltage codes* and safety standards. * Perform final testing, labeling, and documentation of all cabling and system installations. * Collaborate with project managers, customers, and onsite trades. *Required Tools & Support* *Technicians must provide:* * Standard hand tools * Cordless drill set * Punchdown tools *TEKsystems will provide:* * Consumables * Specialized training * Certifications as needed * Access requirements for job sites *Top Skills* * LowVoltage Installation * Security Systems * Service & Troubleshooting * Video Surveillance Integration * Cat6 Termination & Testing *Qualifications* * Proven experience in lowvoltage or security installation. * Ability to lead and direct small teams. * Strong blueprint reading skills. * Understanding of NEC/lowvoltage codes. * Ability to work independently and problemsolve in real time. * Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship. * Must be reliable, selfmotivated, and able to stay on task without supervision. * Willingness to travel 100% of the time. * Desire to move into a *permanent* role after contract completion. *Experience Level* *Intermediate-Level Technician with leadership experience preferred* *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
