Position Overview

The Data Analytics Intern is a technical analyst that will apply software engineering best practices to the production and maintenance of data ready for analytics. The Data Analytics Engineer workflow cleans and transforms raw data into consumable information for eClinicalWorks and our clients.

Responsibilities



  • Develops data analytics solution through R&D or customized application solutions for eClinicalWorks's Electronic Management Reports and Practice Management Solutions
  • Will be responsible to work closely with eClinicalWorks Analytics Development Team to develop and maintain fully functional, high-performing eClinicalWorks products and solutions.
  • Prepare accurate and complete technical design and programming specifications, such as data/entity-relationship schemas, data mapping, file specifications, program specifications, backup, and recovery controls as necessary for all development efforts.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Performs end-to-end reconciliation, quality assurance and "balancing" of all data between source and target systems
  • Develop data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction.
  • Verify the structure, accuracy, or quality of warehouse data.
  • Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts.
  • Develop and implement data extraction procedures from other systems, such as administration, billing, or claims.
  • Design and implement warehouse database structures.
  • Develop or maintain standards, such as organization, structure, or nomenclature, for the design of data warehouse elements, such as data architectures, models, tools, and databases.
  • Implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
  • Will be responsible for identifying measures or indicators of data quality and the actions needed to improve quality.
  • Analyze eClinicalWorks application data quality including troubleshooting live databases and servers using custom-built SQL Server tools.
  • Read manuals, periodicals, and technical white papers and articles to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements.


Requirements



  • Must be enrolled in a Masters program which includes data science/data analysis



Compensation:

Hourly Rate Range - $23 - $25 USD.
