Guided by DCPP's mission to be the nation's leading nuclear power plant, the department delivers highquality technical expertise that supports plant performance, regulatory compliance, equipment reliability, and longterm operational excellence. Engineering teams work collaboratively across disciplines-Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, Reactor Engineering, Civil/Structural, and Systems Engineering-to maintain the health of plant systems and components. Through rigorous analysis, field verification, and continuous monitoring, engineers ensure that all plant operations meet the highest safety and performance standards. Position Summary Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant is seeking motivated and technically driven Engineering Interns to support ongoing safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside professional engineers in a highly regulated environment, contributing to real-world engineering challenges, plant projects, and performance improvement initiatives. Interns will gain exposure to nuclear plant systems, engineering programs, field work, data analysis, and project implementation-making this an exceptional opportunity for students pursuing careers in power generation, nuclear energy, or general engineering disciplines.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
