The Content Specialist is responsible for contributing to the creation of content for editorial, video and digital marketing for corporate brand, service line and physician practices that meet the strategic objects and deadlines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages video projects that include the filming, editing and distribution of video involving patients, staff and community. This includes the coordination of projects with internal marketing staff and external marketing agencies.
  2. Assist in the development of compelling corporate communications for key media outlets and other target audiences for Northside's service lines and physician practices.
  3. Contribute in the development of strategic key messages to be used in communication collateral for hospital services and physician practices.
  4. Editor of the Northside Life internal newsletter and Northside Hospital - Lifetime external publication that is distributed to 500,000 households.
  5. Contribute editorial content for distribution through social media, public relations and news story opportunities.
  6. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injuryaccident to Manager.

REQUIRED:

  1. B.A. degree in marketing and communications.
  2. Minimum of (1) year's experience in marketing and/or communications.
  3. Advanced skills in feature writing, photography and desktop publishing.
  4. Advanced skills in image scanning, CD burning, creating mpeg, jpeg and other image files for email delivery.
  5. Must have advanced knowledge and skills in using the following desktop programs: Adobe Photoshop 5.0, QuarkXPress 4.0, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

PREFERRED:

  1. Experience in a hospital marketing and/or public relations department preferred.
