Career Description
Job Summary:
Plans and prepares schedules for fabrication and finishing of products consistent with corporate mission, values and divisional financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Meets scheduling objectives established with Operations and Project Management.
- Prepares master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Plans and schedules workflow from each department according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of fabrication and finishing workers.
- Schedules jobs within a database and updates files as necessary.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes.
- Monitors manpower hours to be released to the shop.
- Communicates with Project Managers to determine status of assigned projects.
- Confers with customers and Project Managers throughout the manufacturing process to be fully aware of any changes in customer's requirements and to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors.
- Work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Career Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot for problem resolution.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as a team member.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers.
- Read and speak English.
- Experience in structural steel operations preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Constant use of computer for prolonged periods.
- Constantly thinking and processing information.
- Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment.
- May require occasional exposure to production areas with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering a manufacturing plant.
