The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join our team as Kroc Attendants. In this part-time role, you'll help ensure the Kroc Center remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for members, guests, and program participants of all ages.

Position Details

Position Type: Part-time, working up to 19 hours/week

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Schedule: Weekend availability is required, including coverage for the Rockwall

• Rockwall hours: Wednesdays 5:00pm-7:00pm, Saturdays 12:00pm-5:00pm
• Additional weekday and evening shifts may be available based on Center needs

Position Overview

Kroc Attendants play a vital role in daily Kroc Center operations by assisting members, monitoring activity areas, maintaining safety standards, and supporting events and programs. This role combines customer service, safety oversight, set-up support, and light cleaning duties in a dynamic and people-focused environment.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all members and guests
• Monitor access points, enforce Kroc Center policies, and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies
• Provide equipment orientations and ensure proper use of fitness and recreation equipment
• Deliver friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable customer service - greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting as needed
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, ensuring spaces are prepared for programs and activities
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and common areas
• Support a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the Kroc Center

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior customer service experience is a plus, but enthusiastic beginners are welcome
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a busy environment
• Proactive, responsible, and dependable approach to work
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to safety or facility needs

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
• Regular bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment or supplies (up to 45lbs)
• Work performed in an active community center environment with varying noise levels
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fitness equipment, and high-traffic activity areas
