Temple University's Department of Psychology is looking for a Research Assistant

Salary Grade: T23

Position Summary:

This is a grant funded position for two years (July 2026 - June 2028)

The Research Assistant will support federally funded studies focused on children's development of small and large-scale spatial skills. This role includes administering research protocols, coordinating interventions (including a spatial summer camp), and managing data. The position also involves administrative support and interaction with undergraduate students and child participants. Work will be split between Temple's Main and Ambler campuses, with required availability on some evenings and weekends.

Required Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in psychology, Neuroscience, or related field.A minimum of six months of research experience in a cognitive development lab. Experience working with children in a research setting.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

*Ability to manage multiple deadlines and multitask

*Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

*Familiarity with research tools like SPSS or R

*Experience working with human participants

*Professional demeanor and sensitivity toward participants

*Availability to work evenings (5 to 7 pm) and weekends as needed

Salary Range: $32,000 - $41,000
