Enjoy working with well-respected orthopedic department within the largest multispecialty group practice in the Twin Cities.

HealthPartners is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our collegial practice providing trauma/inpatient orthopedic care primarily at our practices based at United and Abbott Northwestern Hospitals. This position will coordinate patient care and assist our surgeons in directing post operative care for our orthopedic patients including admissions and discharges. Additionally, this individual will assist in the operating room as First or Second Assist as needed including preparing grafts, closing incisions. Daily rounding with monthly weekend rounding and/or call responsibilities as assigned. This position is part of a very collegial and supportive team including advanced practice providers, orthopedic surgeons and fellows.

Qualifications:

  • Certified and licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

  • Ability to First and Second assist including closing wounds, preparing graphs, ect.

  • Ability to apply and remove casts and splints

  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

  • Preferred qualifications: 1-2 years' experience in orthopedic surgery and clinic environment including First Assisting and seeing patients independently.
