Position Highlights

The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management invites applications from qualified candidates for one (1) Adjunct Lecturer (not benefits eligible) positions. The successful candidate will serve as Instructor of Record; and mentor student projects in their class section/s. Working collaboratively with the McGuire Center Executive Director and McGuire Director of Undergraduate Studies, instructors are expected to enhance the content and delivery of their course with the objective of establishing an effective, efficient model for teaching innovation and entrepreneurship at a high standard. Teaching responsibilities will be during Fall 2026 Semester, teaching the undergraduate level capstone ENTR 485 -- Innovating: Creating the Future at our campus in Tucson, AZ. Classes are taught on campus, fully in person and therefore all eligible applicants must reside in the Tucson area. Candidates must demonstrate an established record of engaged teaching and/or facilitation. Instructors are paid for on a per course basis.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach up to two in person sections of ENTR 485. Each class meets once a week for 2.5 hours over 16 weeks.
  • Plan lectures with guidance from the ENTR 485 teaching team.
  • Grade assignments based upon performance including attendance and class participation.
  • Mentor and prepare student cohort for the ENTR 485 end of semester pitch competition.
  • Attend McGuire Center teaching team meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Master's degree (minimum) in entrepreneurship, business, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching at the college/university level.
  • Entrepreneurial experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a related field.
  • Demonstrated application of experiential pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership in research and service in his/her academic discipline.
  • Experience integrating research in entrepreneurship/innovation or related fields into the curriculum.
