Position Summary
This position will oversee the coordination, operational management, and administrative functions of the Center's Cores, Pilot Project Program, EnviroReport, Annual Meetings and Seminar Series. The position will ensure effective execution of grant activities by managing workflows, maintaining cross core communication, supporting compliance with NIH requirements, and overseeing documentation and reporting processes. Responsibilities will include developing organizational systems, coordinate review and funding processes, and supporting investigators, trainees, and leadership to advance CACHET's scientific and programmatic goals. Additionally, the position will also oversee community engagement and outreach activities associated with EnviroReport and manage the invitation, scheduling, and coordination of speakers for the CACHET Monthly Seminar Series and Annual Meetings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day administrative and operational management of CACHET, including planning, coordination, timelines, cross core alignment, and monitoring progress toward grant milestones. Along with the scheduling and execution of the Annual Meetings (Annual Retreat, Internal Board Meetings & External Advisory Board meetings).
  • Oversee administrative and research support for all Cores by organizing materials, coordinating information flow, and ensuring Core leads have the documentation, communication structures, and resources needed to meet center objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the Pilot Project Program, including application dissemination, reviewer coordination, scoring and selection processes, award documentation, timeline tracking, and compliance with NIH and institutional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking center activities; collect and synthesize updates from Cores and Pilot PIs; and support preparation of NIH progress reports, internal summaries, and leadership briefings.
  • Lead outreach efforts related to EnviroReport, including communication planning, dissemination, and follow up workflows. Manage the invitation, scheduling, and coordination of speakers for the Monthly Seminar Series and ensure seamless execution of all program logistics.
  • Coordinating the work of lower level staff. Guide, train and advise lower level researchers and students on techniques, methods and procedures.
  • Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required. Master's degree in social science preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years related research experience.
    • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
