| Essential Job Duties |
The Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (
MIE) at NC State University's
Poole College of Management announces a Professor of Practice position in the People Management area. Professors of Practice typically teach three class sections (9 credit hours) per semester and build relationships with industry partners to create experience-based learning opportunities for our students.
This full-time, non-tenure-track role will support Poole's student success initiative as follows:
- Work collaboratively across the College to develop durable skills courses and co-curricular
- activities for undergraduate students' future success
- Foster a community of practice across the college around durable skill development
- Teach undergraduate courses using both face-to-face and online delivery methods
- Participate in departmental and college service activities in support of students.
The position is envisioned as a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of
Fall 2026.
