The Role:

This position is in Bally's Corporate accounting department. Staff Accountant will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting procedures, including but not limited to month-end and year-end closings, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:



  • Reviews and manages the daily workload, output, reliability, and effectiveness of all items purchased.
  • Processes all paperwork associated with purchasing in a timely manner.
  • Performs bid analyses for RFP responses as requested.
  • Places purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery and receipt of proper product, specification, and price.
  • Conducts interviews with sales representatives to determine vendor qualifications, new ideas and pricing trends.
  • Recommends specific procedures for buying, shipping, and storing products as assigned.
  • Works with warehouse personnel on any issues related to orders placed, including price adjustments, substitutions, backordered items.
  • Serves as an advisor to departments in obtaining proper specifications, delivery, and costs.
  • Maintains vendor pricing bid lists.
  • Assists in identifying and utilizing certified MBE's and WBE's and documents same.
  • Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product procurement and delivery service.
  • Maintains updated skills and proficiencies, keeping pace with innovations in Procurement tools and technology.
  • Acts as a resource and advisor on Oracle purchasing platform.
  • Acts as a resource and advisor to Buyer.
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:



    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & Oracle software
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Good judgment and ability to direct and manage people

    Target Compensation:



    • Up to $75,000 Annual Salary (DOE)
