The Department of Special Education in the College of Education and Human Development seeks a candidate for an innovative faculty position that integrates teaching, academic advising, and practicum supervision for master's-level students in Applied Behavior Analysis at our ABAI accredited program. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum delivery, student mentorship and supervision infrastructure necessary to meet accreditation standards and ensure high-quality training.

Job Description

Teaching-related activities may include:

*Continue to build and develop the Master's program and Graduate Certificate in ABA through the University of Missouri

*Develop materials and teach as a primary instructor for courses in these programs (expected teaching load of 4 courses per semester in Fall and Spring and 2 courses during the Summer)

*Assist in recruitment, application screening, and interviewing of graduate students

*Assist in coordinating and managing practicum placements for students in both the Master's program and Graduate Certificate program

*Direct supervision, training, and feedback to graduate students attaining practicum hours and completing empirical thesis projects to complete their degree and prepare for the BCBA exam

Research

*Opportunity to conduct ABA-based research projects in various community and school settings

*Supervise and provide feedback on master's students research projects

*Present findings and support students to present findings at regional and national conferences

*Publish in journals relevant to the field of ABA

Appointment: 12 months beginning July 2026

Qualifications

*An earned doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a Related Field

*Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D)

Anticipated Hiring Range

Competitive and commensurate with experiences and qualifications
