Job Title: Registered Nurse III

Duration: 03 months with possible extension

Location: New Castle, DE 19720

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Job Description:

  • The Bridge Clinic RNs responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks, aimed at ensuring that each patient receives the best, person-centered, trauma-informed, individualized care during their time with The Bridge Clinic.
  • RNs provide patients with hands on nursing assessments, screenings, point of care testing, medication administration and observation, and obtaining proper informed consent beforehand.
  • RNs are responsible for assisting the provider with obtaining as much history from the patient and previous providers as possible, with patients consent, to allow Bridge Clinic providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • RNs assist in doing this by reaching out to the patient's previous treatment facilities/providers to obtain records, calling pharmacies to request medication records, and working one-on-one with both the patient and the Bridge Clinic Behavioral Health Case Manager and Certified Peer Specialist to get as much information as possible regarding the patient's medical, mental health, and substance use disorder treatments and diagnoses prior to their referral to The Bridge Clinic.
  • RNs serve as advocates for clients by addressing their concerns and ensuring their rights are upheld. RNs also offer emotional support to clients and their families, fostering a comforting and trusting environment, and are responsible for providing patients, families, and staff members with education on a variety of topics, such as medication management, side effects, lab testing, and many others.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse in Delaware or COMPAC state.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing (BSN).
  • Two years of experience in behavioral health nursing.
  • Computer competence in Microsoft Office products and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Thorough understanding of both 42CRF Part 2 and HIPAA.
