Responsibilities
Receiving Clerk Full Time Tuesday - Saturday 7a to 330p In collaboration with the Purchasing Coordinator, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all deliveries of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment for the department. This position ensures that all products meet quality, quantity, and safety standards before acceptance, and that items are properly dated, labeled, and stored according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines. Essential Job Functions: * Receives all deliveries and verifies accuracy of items against invoices. * Inspects products for quality, freshness, temperature, and packaging integrity. * Rejects or reports damaged, expired, or incorrect items to the appropriate Food and Beverage manager. Escalates recurring delivery, quality, or vendor issues to management as appropriate. * Records received goods into inventory or purchasing systems as required. * Labels, dates, and organizes products for storage in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. * Communicates and coordinates with vendors, drivers, culinary staff, and Purchasing Coordinator to ensure timely delivery, proper storage, and issue resolution. Maintains cleanliness, organization, and safety in the receiving and storage areas. * Monitors inventory rotation using the First In First Out (FIFO) approach to reduce waste and maintain product integrity. * Assists with monthly inventory counts and audits as directed.
Qualifications
* Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred. * Work Experience: Prior receiving experience is preferred. * Licensure / Certification: Possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handlers certification. * Knowledge of produce, meat, seafood, poultry, dairy products, paper products, and other products. * Ability to properly date, label, and store products according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines. * Must be pro-active with strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up and problem solving skills. Pay Range
USD $17.06 - USD $20.01 /Hr.
