Genesis10 is currently seeking a Security Engineer for a contract position with a Major US Airline located in Atlanta, GA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and deployment of security systems used to safeguard the organization's information assets. The ideal candidate will analyze the security environment and assist with developing measures to protect information against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Responsibilities: Work with the technical team to recover data after a security breach Configure and install firewalls and intrusion detection systems Develop automation scripts to handle and track incidents Investigate intrusion incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and mount incident responses Deliver technical reports and formal papers on test findings Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments Collaborate with colleagues on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project's lifecycle Establish system controls by developing a framework for controls and levels of access Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies Analyze and advise on new security technologies and program conformance Create, test, and implement network disaster recovery plans Train staff on network and information security procedures Develop security awareness through orientation, educational programs, and on-going communication Requirements: 6+ years of experience Experience as a software engineer or related technical engineering capacity Fundamental awareness of application security risks and principles Hands on Python development experience Experience with source control, build tools and Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or other) Ability to clearly communicate with peers, product managers, and subject matter experts Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
