Job Summary:

Responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Provides education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
Provides psychiatric services to adults to help improve their mental health by evaluating medical and psychosocial conditions, develops, and implements treatment plans.

Key Position Details:

As a casual adult psychiatry physician in this role, you will work on an inpatient psychiatry unit alongside a team of mental health providers, including other psychiatry providers, psychologists, and mental health specialty-trained nurses.

This role will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to treat patients with mental health diagnoses.

This casual position offers a flexible schedule with a variety of caseloads across multiple sites. The provider would only cover one location at a time.

Coverage is expected from 8am-5pm with flexibility. Shifts are Monday - Friday. Weekend and evening call rotations are optional.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required and
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry or foreign equivalency training required
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire and
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire and
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required board certified in Psychiatry within two years of hire
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required and
  • Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required and
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $340,025 to $351,000 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
