Quality Inspector I

Semi-skilled position involving the use of complex measuring and testing equipment; reading and interpreting blueprints, documentation and engineering specifications; and legibly recording data. Requires excellent writing, math and analytical skills. One to three years' experience in manufacturing desired. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, twist, stoop and reach, and lift material up to 50 pounds. This is a non-exemption.

Primary Responsibilities



  • lnspects incoming, in-process, and out-going materials to specifications using the proper calibrated measuring devices correctly.
  • Works closely with and trains shop floor personnel.
  • Evaluates parts and reports non-conformances.
  • Stops production when quality issues are detected.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, control plans and engineering specifications.
  • Maintains documentation and records.
  • Assists in maintenance of quality system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
