Responsibilities

The Simulation Lab Coordinator provides comprehensive operational and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of simulation-based educational activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, advanced technological proficiency, sound judgment, and the ability to independently develop structured processes that support programmatic excellence.

As the first point of contact for students, faculty, administrators, and visitors, the Coordinator serves as the professional face of the department. This position requires discretion, professionalism, and a welcoming presence within a dynamic academic environment.

The role routinely involves access to confidential student information, assessment materials, scheduling data, and internal communications. Strict adherence to institutional policies and federal regulations (including FERPA) is required.

    Serve as the primary point of contact for the Simulation Lab department. Maintain a professional and organized reception area; provide accurate information and direction while exercising discretion and protecting confidential information. Represent the department with professionalism in all in-person and electronic communications. The workspace must remain free of personal items, food, and non-departmental materials.
  • In collaboration with SP Educators hire, update and maintain SP staffing schedules and supporting documentation for simulation activities with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge and routine use of CAE/Elevate Health software to support operational workflow.
  • Provide student orientation prior to simulation programs, ensuring standardization and consistency across cohorts and emphasizing professionalism, confidentiality, and program expectations.
  • Ensure all Simulation spaces, Learner Hallway materials and Patient Exam Rooms are fully prepared and appropriately equipped with required documentation, equipment, and supplies to support each scheduled activity.
  • Maintain departmental supplies and oversee inventory to support ongoing and future activities.
  • Contact and coordinate with Facilities and Information Technology/ATG as needed to ensure the department remains safe, functional and operationally current.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to other departmental staff members as needed.

Position requires flexibility in work hours to support program sessions, special events, and departmental initiatives. The weekly schedule will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate early mornings or evenings



Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience in simulation, healthcare, academic, or operational environments preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, in particular proficient use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.

Exceptional organizational skills and strict attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Flexible schedule as needed.
