Job Duties
1. Design and execute independent research projects investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle aging, regeneration, and dysfunction.
2. Apply bioengineering approaches to study muscle stem cell behavior and tissue regeneration.
3. Conduct in vivo and in vitro experiments, including aged mouse models, muscle injury/regeneration assays, cell culture, and engineered muscle platforms.
4. Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, and figures for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at scientific conferences.
5. Contribute to grant writing and assist with experimental justification and preliminary data generation.
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers, clinicians, and computational scientists.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, such as biology, biomedical engineering

Demonstrated experience with animal models

Strong publication record
