Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will support the development of a suite of Information Management applications and services within the COO organization. The selected candidate will manage an evolving Agile portfolio, supporting three service domains within a large product, and will be required to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Agile/Scrum Practices: Guide teams in Agile best practices, ensuring readiness, prioritization, and commitment each sprint
  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Own and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies for one or more teams
  • SDLC Execution: Lead and perform the SDLC process including executing the change process in ServiceNow and other systems, meeting and passing all hard gates, and delivering value reliably and on time
  • Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and address blockers or systemic issues limiting team performance
  • Optimize Team Performance: Use empirical data to evaluate maturity, improve velocity, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Automated Testing: Support QA and UAT planning and execution across multiple workstreams
  • Release Management: Coordinate software releases in compliance with enterprise change management and governance standards
  • Coach Teams: Ensure delivery aligns with Agile practices, SDLC requirements, release processes, and risk/security policies
  • Support Backlog Management: Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain and refine the backlog
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with discipline managers, project/program managers, and stakeholders to communicate progress and escalate risks or issues
  • Promote Organizational Agility: Drive Scrum adoption across the organization and help scale Agile practices
  • Assess Team Skills: Identify team strengths and gaps; recommend adjustments to create high-performing teams
  • Manage Complex Work: Facilitate efforts involving cross-functional impacts, moderately complex projects, enhancements, or maintenance work
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with executives, risk/compliance partners, and technology teams to ensure governance and alignment
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience
  • 10+ years of Agile experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a scrum master
  • 3+ years of JIRA experience
  • Scrum Master Certification(s) (e.g. SAFe)
  • Recent (< 3 years ago) SDLC experience at a large, regulated financial institution
Desired skills:
  • Enterprise Information Technology experience at a large financial institution
  • Experience in product management, business analysis, marketing, operations, and/or strategic/consulting in a consumer oriented, technology dependent environment, in financial services or related industries
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology project management: large scale development projects, including data migrations and third-party vendor integrations
  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong executive-level communications, presentations and problem-solving skills
  • Proven skill at adapting and learning about stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Experience working with compliance and risk professionals
  • Proficient in identifying Regulatory requirements and deficiencies
  • Ability to write clear concise requirements documents, create current and future state diagrams, and conduct gap analysis
  • Experience with managing large-scale initiatives including stakeholders across business and technical teams
Pay range: $68.75 - $78.50 per Hour
