Semi-Skilled Operator

The Semi-Skilled operator works as part of a manufacturing line in the Production Shop operating a variety of machines. Semi-Skilled operators will produce parts in tolerance at the rate required by each operation.

Performs all assigned duties not limited to running mill flat machine, air testing parts produced, running band press machine, working soldering operation, running turn brass machine, loading and unloading bonderizer, painting inside diameters, repairing
• Measures all manufactured products accurately through lifting, pulling, pushing followed by applying proper technique to hand measuring tools, template gages, flush pin gages and other product related measuring equipment
• Works with and follows Basic Rules of Manufacturing, General Dynamics OTS Environmental Policy, ISO Documentation, Quality Policy and other work related policies, especially safety protocols
• Ability to be able to work whatever shift is assigned to you based on seniority

• High School Diploma
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate must be able to complete basic math functions and be detail oriented
• must be able to stand for 8 hours during work shift and wear PPE equipment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and security background check for federal installation
• Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred
