Extrusion Maintenance Trainee

Job Summary:

The Extrusion Maintenance Trainee must assist maintenance and electrical personnel as they perform their regular job duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• To learn the BCF extrusion process including all mechanical and technical systems and processes.
• To learn the electrical systems and processes involved in the fiber extrusion process.
• Schedule may vary due to training needs, demands within the department or special projects as assigned by management.
• Ability to work other shifts for extended periods as determined by training needs and schedule.
• Follow all plant and Extrusion safety rules.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and bending is required throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 150 lbs.
• Must be able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Extrusion experience preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Overtime required with little or no advance notice.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
