Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Supervise and coordinate daily FIP inspection activities, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate FIP Inspectors to ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Perform and oversee visual inspections of vehicles, including walking around vehicles to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
  • Review and validate inspection documentation (VCR/CPO) and ensure accurate data entry into the JLR system or other required systems.
  • Oversee inspection of functional operations including doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, and related components.
  • Ensure proper installation of required materials including guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, and other CPO-adherent items.
  • Authorize vehicle release for further service and/or additional work as needed.
  • Monitor yard and operational safety practices, including ensuring a spotter is present when vehicles are backing up.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OEM requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Address inspection discrepancies, escalate quality concerns, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and overtime coordination as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Experience operating automatic and manual (straight shift) vehicles.
  • Prior experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or automotive operations.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Physical Working Conditions:



  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other environmental conditions.
