Financial Analyst

The Payroll and Stock Administration Analyst will provide assistance in the accurate and timely processing of the company's multi-state payroll, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role will also provide assistance with the day-to-day administration of the company's equity plans, including stock awards, vesting,

and reporting. The analyst will play a key role in maintaining data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and equity systems, and will contribute in financial analysis and SOX compliance regarding these areas.

Key Responsibilities



  • Payroll Processing & Compliance
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of multi-state U.S. payroll for all employee types (hourly and salary).
  • When needed audit, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are compliant with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee compensation, tax withholdings, and deductions (including garnishments, benefits, and retirement).
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end procedures, including balancing wages and W-2 configuration to ensure accuracy before filing.


Stock Administration



  • Provide assistance with the administration of the company's equity compensation plans (e.g., stock options, RSUs, PSUs) using the stock administration platform (e.g., E*Trade).
  • Process and manage day-to-day equity workflows between the stock platform and payroll, including vesting's, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Assist with trade clearances, 10b5-1 plan reviews, and participant communications during open trading windows.
  • Ensure all stock transactions are documented and compliant, and assist with stock-based compensation financial reporting (e.g., ASC 718 expense).
  • Run ad-hoc reports for participants and other stakeholders upon request.
  • Systems and Process Improvement
  • Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of Payroll, HR, and Stock Administration files and records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation to remain in compliance with SOX procedures and controls within the payroll and equity workflows.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to identify, test, and drive process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, answering payroll and equity-related questions in a timely and professional manner.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Payroll processing and administration experience required, and equity/stock administration experience a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. multi-state payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws.
  • Experience with a major payroll system (e.g., ADP, Workday) and a stock administration platform (e.g., E*Trade).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to evaluate information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
